Three local riders were crowned Champions at a ‘FAMILY’ packed paddock, celebrating the final Irish Minibike Championship event of the 2023 season at Nutts Corner race track.
‘Family’ - the core of the IMC, the reason it was created, and its driving force – which continues to shine through! This year, the IMC have continued to enjoy flourishing grids, and welcoming new faces at each event. The IMC popularity has continued to grow and that is in part thanks to ALL our competitors and the level of racing they produce across all classes, from our BamBammers to our Veterans, the racing has been competitive and thrilling beyond the expectations of any first-time spectator.
The series, which runs eight different classes, saw three local competitors become Champions, two runner-ups, and seven more on the Championship podiums!
In only his first year as a Senior competitor, Jack Burrows was crowned EICL Senior Stock Group A Champion, although he missed on Sunday. Eight-year-old Sherrygrim competitor Leon Simpson topped the Bambam championship table, whilst Adam McStravog kept his cool to take the TAG Racing IRL Senior Stock 140 B championship.
