Dungannon travelled to a bitterly cold Rifle Park on Saturday seeking to bounce back from their first defeat of the season.
Banbridge kicked off with considerable wind at their backs and were given an early opportunity to kick to the corner after Gannon were penalised somewhat harshly at the first scrum.
From the resulting line out, the home side carried hard around the corner until they scored.
The conversion was missed to leave the score at 5-0 with less than five minutes played.
Gannon hit straight back however with winger Jack Girvan winning the ball brilliantly from the kickoff and speeding away down the right before releasing centre Kyle Gormley who was hauled down just short of the line.
