Dungannon could take a massive step towards being crowned women’s Ulster Premiership champions for the first time in their history by beating Queen’s in this Sunday’s top of the table clash at Stevenson Park (1pm).
Conor McElmeel’s side have given themselves a realistic chance of taking the title thanks to a brilliant away win with a four-try bonus point against Enniskillen on a foggy Thursday night just before Christmas.
Although they were just joint fifth in the table after the first phase of the league, ambitious Dungannon’s willingness to swap places with reluctant Cavan and compete in the upper section after the split has been vindicated.
