Call for Department of Infrastructure (DFI) to carry out more regular inspections of rural roads,

Sinn Féin Councillor Niall McAleer has called on the Department of Infrastructure (DFI) to carry out more regular inspections of rural roads, describing the current condition of some roads in the Loughshore area as “not fit for purpose”.
The Mid-Ulster Council representative for Torrent told the Courier: “I have been inundated with complaints about the condition of a number of roads in the Loughshore area, which I have raised with DFI officials locally and written to the Infrastructure Minister Nicola Mallon about.”
