St Patrick's College, Maghera, 'heartbroken' after death of teacher

St Patrick's College, Maghera, are in mourning following the death of their Head of English teacher.

In a statement on social media, the school said: "The College this afternoon learned with deep regret the death of Mr Shane McGregor - Head of English, esteemed colleague and friend.

"We offer our sincere condolences to his parents, Shaun and Mary, sister Joanne (Schofield), brother-in-law Paul, godson Jake and large family circle.

"Shane will be very sorely missed by staff and pupils. We are heartbroken.
May Shane rest in peace."
