Dungannon and South Tyrone Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed a senior delegation from Stormont, including First Minister Michelle O’Neill, Economy Minister Caoimhe Archibald, MLA Colm Gildernew and MP for Fermanagh and South Tyrone, Pat Cullen, for a high-level meeting focused on investment and growth in the Dungannon area.

The meeting, attended by members of the Chamber’s board, was described as highly positive and constructive for the future of the town, which took place in Connect in Market Square.

Chamber President Niall Maneely outlined the progress made by the fledgling organisation to date and highlighted two key issues currently inhibiting investment and business expansion in the area: infrastructure and road improvements.

Mr Maneely emphasised the need to broaden the town’s employment base, noting that while Dungannon benefits from strong food processing and engineering sectors, there is an urgent need to expand employment in tradable services.
