A feasibility study is to take place in a bid to the relocate the current phone mast at Castle Hill, Dungannon, a recent meeting of Mid-Ulster Council’s Development Committee was told.
Councillor Barry Monteith (Independent, Dungannon DEA), who had raised this issue before, enquired: “I had raised [the issue of] the tender for the company [in charge of the] appraisal on the removal of the mast on the Hill of the O’Neill, and it was said that there should be some sort of timeline in place shortly.
“So, I just wonder, is there any update on that?”
Strategic director of Communities and Place, Ryan Black replied: “No, I don’t have the detailed timeline.
“The company, as you know, have been appointed and they are currently engaging in terms of doing some of the tabletop research that they need to do, to inform the feasibility plan.
