A planning application has been approved for the conversion of a dwelling into a house of multiple occupancy (HMO) at 9 Victoria Road, Dungannon.

The house in question has five bedrooms. The shared property will accommodate up to seven tenants.

The planning application was lodged by J. Aidan Kelly Ltd, Tullycullion Road, Dungannon, on behalf of Eugene Daly, Derryfubble Road, Dungannon.

In their report, Mid-Ulster District Council Planning officers explained that the external appearance of the dwelling would remain virtually unchanged: “The only obvious external change to the building is the replacement of a window with a door to the rear elevation.

“The existing rear door will be replaced with a window, but this will be out of public view as it is adjacent to a small closed yard area, which itself is obscured by a small store building.

“Most changes to the existing dwelling are internal. Currently the first floor accommodates five bedrooms and two bathrooms.
