COOKSTOWN'S long-awaited £70m bypass continues to make progress, with a Public Inquiry expected this Autumn, a start date due in 2026 and a completion date in 2028.

Fifty years on from its inception, draft Statutory Orders for the proposed A29 Cookstown Bypass scheme have been published by the Department for Infrastructure and a locals were consulted at a Public Exhibition and Virtual Event which was held in the Burnavon on Tuesday of last week.
