THE funeral of Mid-Ulster missionary Maud Kells OBE took place on Sunday in Molesworth Presbyterian Church, Cookstown.

Ms Kells, of Moneymore Road, Cookstown, died peacefully at the age of 84 at Antrim Area Hospital on Thursday following a short illness.

Mission work has been Maud’s life and she spent almost 55 years bringing much-needed aid to Africa.
