THE members of The McCague Day Centre in Aughnacloy recently enjoyed an evening out with their friends and family to a Mike Denver Concert in The Stroule Centre, Omagh.
During the evening the members met the Country and Western star and had their photographs taken with him.
This event was part of a programme entitled “Me and My Friends” devised by support group "The Friends of Aughnacloy Day Centre" to enable members access suitable out of hours activities with their friends and family.
The programme, which aims to complement the day services that are already provided during the day at the McCague Centre, has been funded by the Public Health Agency through the CLEAR PROJECT which promotes the maintenance and improvement of physical and mental wellbeing.
Speaking after the outing, one of the volunteers, Mrs Ethne McCord said: "This has been a very successful programme which has been greatly appreciated by the members and their carers. The outing to the concert was a great success and I would like to thank the CLEAR PROJECT for their financial support and also the Mid-Ulster Council who have provided the necessary funding for insurance.”
