BANK EVACUATED IN FIRE DRAMA

A BANK in the centre of Cookstown was at the centre of a fire alert on Friday afternoon.

Three fire engines were tasked to the Ulster Bank’s branch in William Street after a fire started in the kitchen.

The building was evacuated immediately as two fire appliances from Cookstown and one from Pomeroy rushed to the scene at around 3.15pm.
