Toome park and ride opens to the public

THE increased capacity park and ride facility at the Drumderg roundabout in Toome has opened.

The new facility has 152 spaces, 50 more than the existing, including five dedicated disabled spaces and two electric car charging points.

This has been developed as part of the A6 Randalstown to Castledawson Dualling Scheme. A new pedestrian footbridge has also been constructed to improve accessibility and ensure safe access to the car park for commuters.

The existing Park and Ride is no longer in use and all Translink services will operate from the new facility.
