RESTRICTIONS put in place by Mid-Ulster Council’s planning department have been blamed for “jeopardising” an ambitious multi-million pound race track on the outskirts of Coalisland.
The Lake Torrent race track had been due to be completed in early 2019 and had already signed a deal to host a World Superbikes meeting next year, but the sporting body has had to cancel the event.
And it is unclear if the planned track will host the event in 2020.
And Sinn Fein MP for Mid-Ulster, Francie Molloy, has expressed his great frustration at seeing the work delayed.
