AN eight-year-old boy from Maghera who died after being knocked down by a car was a “special child who taught us all that love and care were the most important things in life”, mourners at his funeral have been told.
Hundreds of people packed into St Patrick's Church in Glen on Sunday for the Mass of the Angels to pay their final respects to Daniel Bradley and celebrate the youngster's life.
Daniel died following a collision close to the entrance of a service station on Glenshane Road around 8pm last Thursday, which Police are still investigating.
With mourners spilled out into the church’s car park in the driving rain, Parish Priest Father Patrick Doherty told the congregation that the “great number of people here is a tribute to Daniel and his family” and the impact that the child had on those around him.
